Your Journey into Abstraction

Starting the journey towards semi and abstract art

Often you hear the term ‘nothing is right, nothing is wrong’. In other words, you can do whatever in the drawing/painting process and it will be authentic, even if it doesn’t always meet your own personal satisfaction.

As you may have experienced, this sounds great, until you face a blank canvas or sheet of paper. Then we are all faced with the huge question as when in a sweet shop and you have the pick of anything. What do I pick first? Where do I begin? What’s the first mark? What if I don’t like it? And you freeze up.

To avoid this freezing on the spot, you will be encouraged and shown that just making marks or better still, use one of the drawing techniques you’ve been introduced to will soon get you being creative, (if you’ve forgotten, just ask in class), because the process requires experimentation. Experimenting is the key to it al

This class is ideal for people wanting to improve their painting technique. yes, if a beginner, get a free session, to get an insight into what you could learn. Intention is to help you create more creative art, using a wide range of medium. Working both representational and semi-abstract. You can make your own decisions.
